The Master Line of Code.
You may have entered this letter at a point that isn’t the beginning.
If you landed here directly, please start at the beginning.
. . .
Let me go straight to the point.
And I ask you to pay attention to every word, because what follows is the core of everything:
Everything you are, everything you do, every decision you have ever made or ever will make — your habits and addictions, your successes and failures, the people you love, the people you avoid, what you eat and drink, where you work, what you study, the clothes you choose, the things you buy, the music you listen to, the books you read, the art you consume, the secrets you keep, your faith, your beliefs, your doubts — all of it follows one universal law, one master line of code:
How you feel triggers the action that moves you toward how you want to feel.
You were made to feel.
It may sound too simple. I know.
But pause for a moment and look at yourself.
You are feeling something right now as you read this.
And the next minutes of your life — whatever you choose to do after this sentence — will be determined by:
how you feel now, and how you would like to feel.
Here’s an immediate example for you:
Maybe you’re curious (the feeling).
And you want to satisfy that curiosity (how you want to feel).
So the action is obvious: you keep reading.
Feeling was the very first thing you did when you became someone in your mother’s womb.
And it will be the last thing you do in this life.
There is no switch to turn feeling off while remaining conscious and alive.
There are no holidays, no weekends, no pauses in this phenomenon — not if you intend to experience life.
You feel all the time, because your biological vehicle was built precisely for that.
And once you truly see this, everything else begins to make sense.
What do I mean when I say you were made to feel?
Notice how every fiber of your being was designed in perfect coordination for one single purpose.
Your body — our biological hardware — with all its senses (touch, sight, hearing, smell, taste) exists to absorb the environment you live in.
Your brain — our operating software — takes all of that raw input and synthesizes it into feelings.
And from the result of what you experience, you move through life in directions uniquely yours, creating the story you call you.
In a world that worships complexity — intricate formulas, elaborate theories, sophisticated models — the simplicity of a truth can ironically be the hardest thing to accept.
But I promise you: this one isn’t hard.
It’s far more realistic than you might imagine.
It is the bare, unvarnished essence of our existence.
Think of anything you value:
relationships, achievements, beauty, justice, truth.
Now ask yourself:
Why do you value those things?
The final answer is always the same: the feeling.
You value relationships because they make you feel connected, loved, understood, safe.
You value achievements because they make you feel capable, fulfilled, proud.
You value beauty because it makes you feel… well, beautiful and good.
Without the ability to feel, nothing would matter.
The world would be a place of meaningless events and purposeless processes.
But we do feel.
And through feeling, we create value, meaning, purpose.
Through feeling, the world becomes not just a place where things happen, but a place where things matter.
This is not mysticism; it’s observable fact.
Neuroscience shows that our moral decisions are deeply influenced by emotional responses.
Feeling is not merely a reaction to our thoughts — in many cases, it is what guides them.
So no, this is not a text about how you should live your life or what you should value.
This is about something far more fundamental: what allows you to live a life that can be valued at all.
What makes it possible for anything to matter to you.
And you might be frowning right now, thinking,
“This is an exaggeration. I make rational decisions based on logic and facts!”
But allow me to point something out: Guess what you’re doing right now?
You’re feeling a reaction to these words.
Maybe curiosity.
Maybe skepticism.
Maybe recognition.
And that alone is living proof of the very fact I’m presenting.
The “line of code” that governs us — the fundamental “algorithm” — is simple and undeniable:
Everything in your life comes down to how you feel and how you want to feel.
I imagine you have many questions, like:
- Why were we made to feel?
- Why is it important to understand this?
- How can I use this in my own life?
- And what does sentient ASI have to do with any of this?
So let’s go to the answers.
